Urdu Social Poetry of Nasir Kazmi distills its vehemence over the growing agony against the social norms and traditions that are hurling the poor into and abyss of unavoidable agony and torture. The poor remain devoid of honor and dignity in the country called Pakistan. The poet feels distressed over the social hypocrisy of his nation. This is a critical opinion based on the thematic aspects of Nasir Kazmi’s poetry and the verses of social importance; however, these have nothing to do with the direct opinion of the poet.
Aayen e jahan badal raha hy,
len gay wo amar o kam nigahi
Chalay chalo unhen gumnam barf zaron main,
ajab nahi yahn mil jaye dard ka chara
Ham apna gham bhool gaye,
aaj kisay dekha majboor
