Urdu religious poetry by Nasir Kazmi
Urdu religious poetry by Nasir Kazmi has a number of verses that reflect either the religious thought pattern of the poet or the personal feelings of the poet towards his religion and particularly God Almighty. The poet tends to find God within his heart and a path to solemn life which the so called religious leaders and mullahs have failed to show.
Aankh khultay he chup gayee har shay,
aalam e bekhudi main kya kuch tha
Isi goshay main hain sab deer o harm,
dil sanam hy kay khuda ghor se sun
Kaba sunsan hy kyun aye waez,
hath kanon se utha ghor se sun
O mery masroof khuda,
apni dunya dekh zara,
faslen jal kar rakh huwen,
nagri nagri kal para
Ye aur bat kay dunya na sun saki warna,
sakoot e ahle nazar hy bajaye khud aawaz
